A very healthy smoothie
I happened to mention to my yoga loving friend that I was trying out some new smoothies because I want to go to Food Blogger Connect conference. This year Cuisinart has partnered with FBC (as official small domestic appliance partner) for a fabulous giveaway: two full weekend conference tickets to two very lucky winners and an opportunity to participate in the cooking demonstration with Celebrity Chef Anjum Anand. The challenge is to create your own smoothie or make a smoothie recipe from Cuisinart or Anjum Anand’s books and post it on their blog and on the Food Blogger Connect Facebook page and tweet about it. This particular smoothie is my friend’s answer to a healthy breakfast. It’s a mixture of various seeds, goji berries, fruit and fruit juice, so also Vegan. She actually suggested that you could also add spirulina too and make a green mixture, but I am just NOT that healthy…
The really nice thing about this particular smoothie is that it only needs one fresh ingredient (an apple or a pear), everything else can be kept in your store cupboard. So, it’s a pretty good way to get a quick pick-me-up without having to trek to the shops. And for single people, it doesn’t involve keeping lots of fruit in the freezer.
I’ll post the ingredients and method in 1+ recipes – here’s what I had for breakfast today!
