So, you are buying for someone who likes cooking? You know, most of us have something on our wishlist that we don’t have and we just haven’t got round to buying. For me, that something was a hand mixer. I’ve had a ‘wand’ for ages, but I wanted something that could whisk up eggs and make bread dough…and I really don’t have the space or need for a Kitchen Aid (though I have secret fantasies about one in candy pink!).
The lovely people at Russell Hobs found out what I wanted for Christmas and have sent me one. They’ve also sent me something that I can give away to my readers…so watch this space. The model they sent me was part of their Allure range. It’s a really glamorous set of utensils, the sort of thing you might use in front of someone you want to show off to a bit. Mine is lovely and silver, with black trim and a little blue LCD timer display. It’s got a wide flat base, so I think it will be permanently on display in my kitchen!
If you have a friend who is a cook…please don’t assume they must have everything they need. You may need to probe a little to find out what is on their wishlist. And then, make sure you research what the best model for them is. There’s nothing more annoying than getting the *wrong* kitchen knife or for that matter an appliance that just doesn’t *fit*. My kitchen is all black and silver, so the Russell Hobbs allure range is great for me!
