Twinings Tea Review and Giveaway:
I do love tea. Until I reached my teens I only drank normal tea with milk. Then, I discovered ‘grown-up’ tea. Someone gave me a liberty print teapot for my birthday and a packet of Lapsang Souchong leaf tea and that was it. I used to sit with my best friend making cups of lapsang…and drinking it literally all evening.
What I regarded as ‘grown-up tea’ then is still something I drink when I want something a bit different. Lapsang Souchong has a lovely smokey taste and is a soft tea that I like by itself rather than with any kind of cakes or biscuits. Earl Grey has always fascinated me, mostly because I discovered that the tea is scented with Bergamot Oil…most commonly used in perfumes and aftershaves. For me, that’s a drink that works particularly well with afternoon tea, either with lemon or (and I know this is ‘wrong’) a little milk.
And I love the variety and range of fruit teas and tisanes. I keep Lemon and Ginger for when I have a cold. The ‘red’ fruit teas are something I love in winter, when it’s cold outside. By contrast, Mint tea and Chamomile are ‘summer’ drinks for me, both refreshing and light. And the range of green teas are something I drink if I am trying to lose weight. I do tend to drink Twinings by choice, mostly because I know and trust their range of products. You can find out more about this quintessentially English company from the Twinings Tea website
