Poncho – a hot little number:
A week or so ago I went to a fabulous barbecue event in Soho.
On the roof of one of the PR agencies, we sampled some great new hot sauces that are just about to be retailed exclusively in Harvey Nichols or direct from www.poncho8.com. So that makes them pretty special!
Now, of course we did have food to go with the sauce…but I can promise that the sauces themselves really stole the show. I now have a set for one of my readers to win – you’ll get a mild Garlic Chilli sauce, a spicey Smokey Medium sauce and one that’s so hot it can’t go in a glass jar – the Super Hot Fuego.

My favourite mexican food is spicy fajitas with loads of guacamole!
Empanada
burritos!!
Ooh, a biq squidgey bean enchilada with cheese melted on top. Plus a side of guacamole and some sour cream to dollop on the enchilada if it’s a bit too spicy!
Really love Empanada’s with sweet potato filling. Lovely pastry snack. Little bit like our Cornish pasties in shape and make, just fillings different. Had the joy to visit a Taco Bell in USA a few years back. Rather nice, whether Mexican food, probably not, but a nice introduction the the possible flavours of the country. As for the Empanada ,Hubby who does the cooking, has made this a few times and he says its from a proper recipe. So trust him. If not the only other Mexican ‘food’ I have tried is to open a bag of Doritos.

All of it but Nacho’s with salsa, refried beans, guacamole, sour cream and jalapeno’s is our traditional Sunday dinner because it’s the only day we get a chance to prep it all (all home made of course).
