Sunday Feasts and Sunday Guilt!
No, that’s not a reference to having given up on the 5:2 diet, it’s actually a blogger’s guilt! I went to the press event for Sunday Feasts and REALLY meant to write up quickly so that you all got the chance to book and go to the first event. And FAILED. Not only that but the first event is one I really would have recommended…if I’d managed to post quickly. Goz’s Plussixfive supper club is the only Singapore supper club in London and from what I’ve tried to date, his food is fabulous.
Mind you, judging by the canape tasters we tried at the Press preview, there are plenty of treats in store for you, which ever Sunday you chose. The events run from 2nd September through to 25th November, on a sunday evening at the School of Wok. Goz’s supper club is followed by a Filipino and Malaysian one where you can get to try delights like these tapioca pearls – not a bit like school dinners!
Next up is a Spanish event by Flavours of Spain who are part suppliers of gourmet spanish produce and part chefs. We tried their home made pastry cups filled with squid in its own ink.
I don’t want to bore you by listing EVERY event here, because you can check it all out on the Edible Experiences website (and book too), but you really shouldn’t miss the British Raj event by Darjeeling Express and Pistachio Rose. We enjoyed some lovely samosas, prawn malai curry shots and…Indian style chocolate churros. And, they were so good I didn’t quite manage to photograph them! Not that everything wasn’t good…but these were all brought out warm…so we ate!
Backdoor Kitchen listed their canape as ‘LASAGNE’. Well, see what you think…isn’t it the prettiest lasagne you’ve ever seen? And it was delicious too.
There’s a second chance to experience Plussixfive when they pair up with FedbyTang for a Singapore/Hong Kong event I quote ‘to give you the warmest family feast in true South East Asian style – loud, cosy and lots of tasty food’.
I was trying hard to be restrained (yes REALLY) so I didn’t eat the gorgeous looking French-Caribbean food from Carib-Gourmet and Pauline Cuisine..I actually meant to steal some of the chocolate coconut heads to take home…but thankfully for my waistline I forgot!
And, of course you have a chance to be fed by the lovely Yummy Choo, who is running a Maritian event on the last evening. I FINALLY got to taste some of her food (we’ve been at various blogger events together, but I’ve never been to her supper club!)
Sunday Feasts are £36 per person, bookable in advance from the Edible Experience website. For that you get the food…and you can bring your own beer, wine or soft drinks.
You’ll get to eat great food, meet new people and ‘fortify yourself for the week ahead’.

Then, pop over to the Edible Experiences website and BOOK before the events are sold out!
