Gaucho – Divine Bovine 2013
Fed up with dieting? Well, how about a beef tasting menu?
Food critic and writer Tom Parker Bowles is hosting the fourth annual Divine Bovine event at Gaucho, Swallow Street on Monday 28th January. My first introduction to Argentinian beef was at Gaucho, several years ago before the likes of Hawksmoor and Goodman had appeared on the London restaurant scene. So for me it’s good to see this gastronomic event, which will feature a five course tasting menu of Gaucho’s Argentinian favourites, a beef master class and a table-side wine tasting.
It sounds like a superb event with a five course tasting menu of Gaucho’s Argentinian favourites. After n amuse bouche of Chinchulines, you will be treated to three starter plates of beef cheek croutons, veal sweetbreads broth and cured lomito. Of course, the main course will be beef. Premium 28-day matured Argentine Aberdeen Angus rump steak, with parsnip purée, garden peas, baby spinach and a Malbec sauce. Apineral and passion fruit cloud palate cleanser will be served, before the gastronomic experience is finished off with a lemon infused Pampas grass.
Sounds like your kind of night? The event is at 7pm on 28th January 2013 and tickets are £75 per person. You can reserve a place by mailing ellie.pasterfield@gauchorestaurants.com
