May Fair Hotel Aphro-Tea-Siac:
Just before Christmas last year I went to the May Fair hotel for a festive afternoon tea as a guest of Karen from Lavender and Lovage. Now, I got far too caught up in gossiping with an old friend and only took one photo of our tea – and I didn’t make enough notes to be able to write a sensible review. But luckily she DID and her write up is here.
Now, just in time for Valentine’s Day, the May Fair is launching a special tea!
There will be a special canape selection which sound quite delicious
- White truffle and honey glazed pork
- Crimson Sumac crusted Langoustine
- Avocado Humms
- ‘Quince’ oysters Rockefeller
- The finale (the ultimate chocolate elixir)
And a selection of cocktails including three martinis (I rather like the sound of Pomegranate and Vanilla), a selection of shots and the rather wicked sounding ‘Siberian ginseng, lemongrass and ginger cooler’
Prices start at £25 for a Mild Aphro-Tea-Siac with two cocktails or if you want MORE, then the Intense Aphro-Tea-Siac is £50 but will give you four cocktails!
The Aphro-Tea-Siac runs from February 8th 2013 to February 17th in both Quince and the May Fair Bar. Oh…and there are also some special overnight packages which include the tea and a Champagne breakfast…
