Chocolate and Beer From Green & Black’s for Father’s Day

A Father’s Day Green & Black’s Giveaway

Father’s Day is fast approaching and this year I have a very special giveaway for London-Unattached readers.  Green & Black’s have offered one of these very special packs of chocolate bars and beer.  All in a neat wicker hamper perfect for those summer picnics…if summer ever appears that is.  Don’t you agree it’s a lovely Father’s Day gift?  It’s the sort of thing that whoever the Father in your life is, should really have to share!  Eight bars of delicious Green & Black’s Organic Fairtrade chocolate along with two bottles of Suffolk-brewed St Peter’s Organic beer.  So, I know in my household *he” can have the beer and I’ll be hoping to keep the chocolate and use the hamper as an overflow bathroom cabinet (or perhaps as a secret hiding place for my personal stash of Green & Black’s bars).

    I’d be lost without my dad, he’s Mr Fixit! He gets a bit too big for his boots sometimes though, and often speaks his mind a little too frankly, which can be rather embarrassing!

    He taught me to make my own bow and arrows, he read me books on his knee, he welcomed my teenage boyfriends and waited for me to realise if they weren’t a good idea, he took me to cricket matches, he taught me from the Bible, he helped me with woodwork, he made all sorts of bespoke bedroom furniture, he approved my husband, he gave an amazing f-o-t-b speech, he helped he buy our first house, he gives me DIY advice. he does my DIY, he commuted for years to earn money to bring me up, he sold his motorbike so my sister and I could learn the piano….and more than that he is a caring, wise and occasionally stubborn and incredible dad.

    My dad isn’t my biological father but he’s been there for me for as long as I can remember and I love him with all my heart.
    He would literally do anything for his children, always putting us first. He’s stubborn at times and sarcastic, but I love him all the more for it. I wouldn’t be the person I am today without him in my life. This saying is most definitely true, Any man can be a father. But it takes someone special to be a daddy. <3

    As my dad and father in-law have sadly :( passed away It is always nice to have my husband home with the kids on Fathers Day but sometimes this is not possible as he has to work quite a few weekends, he is a dad in a million to the kids and they always come first so we always make Fathers day very special when he has that special day off and he always comes first.

    My Dad is lovely. He would fill up dustbins (clean) with water in the summer for us to paddle in. He helped us put on Harry Potter plays when we were 11 (yeah we were very cool) and he built us a treehouse, which was sort of just a couple of planks of wood nailed in a tree but we loved it all the same.

    It’s another time to spend with family. Dad doesn’t really care about the gifts and the cards but he does like all the family hanging out together and being happy. No one in the family think Mothers Day or Fathers Day or even Valentines Day is anything particularly special but if it is an opportunity for family time then that can only be a good thing. It is what you make it.

    my dad is longer “with us” but my step dad has been around since I was a KID.. (really, he’s more my dad than my dad was). My stepdad was a ” mr fixit” guy. I saw was bec he’s now getting to the point where he’s not as able or spry as he once was.. he’s also doing other things.. & he lives in an apt so he no longer has a garage for all his tools too.
    but he would LOVE this basket. I know because he always talks about his days in the merchant marines and the NAVY when he stopped into various ports in the UK..
    he loved it..

    My dad has supported me and my mom all my life, with my mom being severely disabled, she’s really limited in what she can do. So my dad has cooked, cleaned, shopped, paid bills, everything for my entire life. And he’s still going strong at 71 (he refuses to believe he’s getting old!).

    My Dad is not just my Dad, he is also my carer, he has had to give up so much to look after me but never complains. Countless times he has been up in the night for hours helping me before having to leave early for work in the morning. I would love to win as a ‘thank you’ to him :)

    I was a Daddy’s girl from the day I was born. Sadly he’s long gone, and I miss him so much. We used to watch football together and laugh at Santa Barbara. He was also a big fan of my cooking, and he made the most beautiful jewellery. He was a true artist.
