Personalised Sports Books from the Historic Newspaper Company:
What do you give the man who has everything for his birthday? I must admit I struggle sometimes – my youngest brother has quirky tastes and it’s not always easy to think of something. One thing I know he will always love is any kind of Manchester United memorabilia. Not only is he a big football fan, Manchester United is very much our family team. Right in the middle of the back row of this Division One champions photo from 1952 is my Grandad, while on the right hand end is Sir Matt Busby. Grandad was both doctor and director of Manchester United in the glory days of Sir Matt Busby and my brothers used to be treated to the occasional match, sitting in the Directors Box.
I’ll never forget the day my two brothers turned up at the Norwich football ground for a match – at school there, one of my brother was happily wearing a Norwich City scarf! He does look like a mischief maker doesn’t he?
Of course as a result when I was asked by the Historic Newspaper Company to review one of their products, I didn’t have to search too long to find a personalised football book.
The Manchester United Personalised Football Book has cuttings from one hundred years of Manchester United history. I was impressed with the size and quality of the book (though rather less so with my photography, which doesn’t really showcase the quality that well!) The book is tabloid paper size, so there are full page and double page spreads from some of the key events in the history of Man United. And, I picked Manchester United red with gilt lettering – which looks stunning.
I’m delighted to announce that one lucky London-Unattached reader will have the chance to pick a personalised sports book for themselves or as a gift. If you are looking for a different sport you could pick a book from the range of sports including golf, rugby and Wimbledon. And, hopefully whoever gets the gift will be thrilled!
