Tasting my Way to Happiness with Sainsbury’s Taste the Difference:
It’s a well known fact that chocolate makes you happy. It contains tryptophan which helps to make serotonin, phenylethylalanine which combines with dompamine to act as an anti-depressant and theobromine which can make you ‘high’. Obviously eating chocolate is good for you. And if eating chocolate is good for you, eating SPECIAL chocolate must be very good for you.
That’s my excuse anyway. I’m moving house and I need nice things in my life to offset the stacks of boxes, bubblewrap and brown paper. Imagine how pleased I was to be asked by the team at Sainsbury’s to review and run a giveaway for them of the Taste the Difference range of chocolates.
Now I have to admit, I haven’t opened all the boxes. If you are anything like me, opening means eating. And, opening more than one box at a time means eating several boxes at a time. So, I’ve been trialling the ‘Belgian chocolate marc de champagne cocktail assortment’. It’s a relatively small box of nine chocolates. Three cocktails inspire the collection – Kir Royale, Peach Bellini and Mimosa. Each chocolate has a delicately flavoured ganache centre. Each chocolate is enrobed in finest Belgian chocolate and each has a topping of flavoured popping candy to complement the centre and I suspect imitate the ‘bubbles’ of the cocktail. Absolutely delicious. If I had to pick a favourite it would be the dark chocolate Kir Royale, which co-incidentally is my favourite cocktail too.
Now, as you can see I have a lot more chocolates to try. And, you could be the lucky person to receive your own tasting selection. Sainsbury’s have offered me a selection of chocolates with an approximate retail value of £30 for one lucky London-Unattached reader.
