Moët & Chandon on the Southbank – Learning more about Champagne:
If you’ve ever wondered what makes Champagne such a special drink, here’s a great opportunity to find out more. Moët & Chandon are hosting a two week pop-up at Oxo Tower, entitled ‘the Moët Academy’. You’ll be able to take a virtual trip around the vineyards of the Champagne region of France, all the while looking out over the Thames! You can learn more about the three Champagne grapes; chardonnay, pinot noir and pinot meunier. Then, you’ll discover exactly how the wines are turned into champagne, how long it takes from vine to glass and what makes Champagne such a unique drink.
Finally, once you have an understanding of the terroir, husband and wife team, independent Masters of Wine, Susie Barrie and Peter Richards will guide you through a tasting session which will include a selection of sparkling wines and the Moët & Chandon range .
The event will take place from Monday 13th to Friday 24th April at OXO2 on London’s Southbank. Tickets for the 90 minute sessions are just £40, available from The Moët Academy
