Healthy Summer Drinks from Cawston Press:
Although I don’t drink a lot of fruit juice, something I particularly enjoy is cold pressed apple juice. It’s something that genuinely tastes ‘fresh’ even if it has come out of a bottle or can, much in the same way that frozen peas are almost indistinguishable from fresh. And, the best cold pressed apple juice comes from Cawston Press. So I was keen to try some of the new Cawston Press range of drinks – a rather delicious ginger beer based on pressed apple juice and a light elder flower lemonade that has just 99 calories a can.
What I particularly like about the Cawston Press range of drinks is that any sweetness comes from the fruit juices used, not from added sugars. They suit my palate – not too sugary – and the fizzy drinks are a really good accompaniment to a meal.
If you prefer a still drink, Cawston have a new range of drinks which are lighter than a smoothie but are still packed with fruit and vegetables so that you get a great taste.
The range of three mixtures comprises Sweet Greens – a light, summery concoction which we agreed did taste just like ‘salad in a glass’, Sunshine Blend – a healthy mixture of apple, carrot, orange, celery, lemon and water and Radiant Roots – an earthy mixture of apple carrot and beetroot with a hint of ginger. All of them are made with natural juices with no concentrates and no added sugar. And, they are remarkably low calorie too. They are a lot lighter than a smoothie, so they work very well as an accompaniment for a meal or, just as a refreshing, enjoy anywhere, glass of juice.
Cawston Press are keen to spread the word about their fabulous new drinks, so they’ve offered a Summer Selection for one lucky London-Unattached reader. You could win the full range twice over!
