Deliciously Dainty Chocolates from Paxton:
You know those beautiful boxes of handmade chocolates that you look at through the shop window and only buy for very, very special occasions?
True artisan chocolates, made by hand from the finest couverture and carefully flavoured with natural ingredients…
I was send a few samples the other day from Paxton Chocolate – an artisan chocolatier set up by Cordon Bleu trained Caitlin Paxton. Small batch, handmade chocolates are very different to anything you will find in a supermarket and these are particularly delicious! I happily shared a box of cocktail chocolates – Gimlet, Mojito, Bloody Mary and Pina Colada, when some friends were over and really enjoyed the texture of the chocolate itself and the delicate balanced flavourings. Perhaps Caitlin’s skill as a chocolatier is inherited, her Swiss grandfather was a patissier and chocolatier – certainly these were some of the most exquisite, dainty morsels of chocolate I’ve tried in a long time. Since Paxton have a boutique in Shoreditch I can see myself turning up there and pressing my nose against the window – or more probably popping in to restock with a few more chocolates, the next time I am in the area. And, for those not London based, there’s a mail order shop too.
I have more still to try, including a delicious hot chocolate which I am saving for a rainy day. But for now, I’m delighted that Paxton have offered a large box of their signature thins for one lucky London-Unattached reader. Worth £25 you’ll get a selection of 6 flavours to try, all in the form of perfect, chocolate thins).
– White chocolate clementine, lime and lemongrass
– White Chocolate, Raspberry and Rose
– Milk Chocolate, Orange and Earl Grey Tea
– Milk Chocolate, Chestnut and Vanilla
– Dark Chocolate and Lavender
– Dark Chocolate and Candied Chilli
You might just want to pop over to the Paxton Chocolate website first and check out their cocktail chocolates. Then, just follow the rafflecopter through as normal! Fingers crossed…
