Gala Festival – Brockwell Park, Brixton
Sunday 28th May 2017 – Bank Holiday Weekend
Summer is finally here and the festival season is nearly upon us; what better way to kick it off than with a London day festival, which takes place on Sunday during the Bank Holiday. Gala 2017 combines the best of South London’s independent food, drink and music.
Set in London’s scenic Brockwell Park with views over the city, GALA will host homegrown food traders and fabulous boutique bars alongside a stellar line up of internationally renowned DJ’s and live acts. Iconic disco brands Studio 54 and Paradise Garage will headline alongside Crazy P full live band while Horse Meat Disco are curating their own stage with guests to include Honey Soundsystem and Mood II Swing.
I’m all for keeping it all local and using independent traders, so it’s good to know that the food at GALA will be taken care of by a host of local outlets, from the likes of Kricket, Chicken Shop, Made of Dough, Bill or Beak and Fatties Bakery while the Brixton Brewery, Canopy Beer and Peckham’s Brick Brewery amongst others will be supplying the drinks.
I’m really looking forward to it, so gather your friends and head to GALA in Brockwell Park on Sunday 28th May, and let’s hope the sun is shining!
