Chocolate and Avocado Breakfast Smoothie
Here’s a fabulous chocolate avocado smoothie, it is very smooth and chocolaty, but full of healthy things like natural yogurt, avocado and banana. Be warned, it’s also very filling!
1 avocado pear
4 tablespoons low fat natural yogurt
2 tablespoons cocoa powder
honey to sweeten.
Chop and blend the avocado pear and banana, then add the yogurt and cocoa powder. Sweetened with a little honey and add some crushed ice into the blender to get the right smoothie consistency. I don’t have a blender, just a wand hand mixer, so, I made sure the fruit and yogurt were really cold before mixing and used chilled mineral water instead of ice!
It was really gorgeous, the avocado makes the texture very smooth, while for me, the banana made it almost sweet enough. I am sure it would make a great breakfast drink for fussy kids…and it was very quick and easy to make.
This made enough for two large glasses and it see keep reasonably well in the fridge for 24 hours.
