Nutty Peachie Smoothie
1 ripe peach
1 ripe banana
a handful of nuts (I used almonds)
a small tub of natural yogurt
chilled water or apple juice
Grind the nuts, I used whole almonds, skin on, which is why there are little dark flakes in my smoothie. If you want a prettier result, you could blanch almonds or skin hazlenuts.
Put the ground nuts with the chopped up fruit in your smoothie maker and puree.
Add the yogurt
Check the consistency and add chilled water or apple juice to taste (in my case, I like my smoothie thick and creamy and didn’t add any).
This really doesn’t need sweetening in my view, peach and banana are both quite sweet fruits.
What an easy breakfast!
