It’s beginning to feel a bit like Christmas with Hotel Chocolat:
Do you get that sinking feeling when the shops first start to display their Christmas goodies. I know I am sounding more and more like my Mother, though she used to complain when things appeared in the shops before the 15th December. Now, it’s more like 15th November. I’m no Scrooge – I love Christmas but generally I have too many things going on to want to start thinking about it much before December.
Of course there are exceptions. Some quite easy ones.
And, of all the exception, Christmas chocolate has to be the biggest. So, when Hotel Chocolat asked me a few weeks ago whether I’d like to review one of their Christmas products I had no problem at all with the fact it was early November. I love the Hotel Chocolat collections, they always look luxurious, creative and fun. Great for giving and wonderful to receive too.
I picked ‘A Box of Christmas – the Christmas Collection’ a £25 gift box that includes a mini box of chocolates, a bag of butterscotch puddles, a miniature pecan buche noel and a tiny bottle of pink prosecco. Perfect for a bit of post house move self indulgence.
I’ve been trialling the contents, though I have still to open the pecan buche and the prosecco. And I can report back that it’s a lovely selection of goodies. The butterscotch puddles are kind of poshed up big chocolate buttons while the tiny box of chocolates has four different and delicious christmassy chocolates. Open the lid and you’ll get a great waft of Christmas spices, I think from the gingerbread truffle (my favourite of the selection). The whole lot is nicely wrapped up and tied with a seasonal red ribbon. And, I obviously chose well because this particular box is currently out of stock, at least online.
I’ve honestly only got ONE more box in the cupboard. And that one is for the winner of my Christmas Chocolate Giveaway in conjunction with Hotel Chocolat.
I’m sure you know the form. Follow through the rafflecopter for your chance to win. And don’t forget to check online – you’ve got until 18th December to enter, and I’d really like to get the winner’s prize sent out in time for Christmas!
