EasiYo Red – a New Yogurt Maker for an Easy Life:
One of the few things I like for breakfast is yogurt. Generally I eat plain Greek yogurt with just a dash of honey or a handful of granola. It’s a simple start to the day. I suspect my liking for yogurt comes from childhood – I can remember my mother making yogurt in a thermos flask (with mixed results) and then later in a rather posh electric yogurt maker that came with six little pots, each with their own lid.
I was fascinated by the process and loved the taste; home made yogurt laced with ribena or sweetened with brown sugar and a few berries.
The EasiYo yogurt maker range has always intrigued me, though I hadn’t ever tried it until I was invited to preview the new Red Maker. It’s the first redesign in 23 years and apart from a stylish bright red casing, it has a New Zealand wool layer instead of polystyrene to improve insulation and help make the perfect pot of yogurt. At the preview we tried a whole range of yogurts including a Greek style plain yogurt and one with coconut. And I got to take home a yogurt maker for myself.
I’ve finally got round to testing it and it seems to be fool proof. I managed to produce a beautiful pot of creamy yogurt on my first attempt.
Priced at £17.99, this is the most expensive of the EasiYo range. You can buy it directly from EasiYo or through a number of retailers.
