Something for Food Lovers to get excited about
Last Christmas I was sent a wonderful collection of artisan products to review. Packed in a rather special wooden crate I thought it would make the perfect present for a food lover, but having tried a few of the products, I actually got an insider’s understanding of the name – CRAVED.
Clearly, I wasn’t alone and the lovely people at Craved have now developed a subscription-based service to satisfy the whims of every London based foodie.
You pay £10 a month into your Craved Collective account and in return, you get offered special edition products at a discount and free shipping when you do decide to order. You’ll also get invited to meet some of the artisan producers. Craved are arranging regular events and tasting sessions so you can try before you buy. And, it’s an exciting and innovative way to learn about the craft food scene in London.
I was sent a selection of products that are part of the current range to try. A bottle of Rhubarb vodka from Nip from the Hip, some Stoke Red Cider, Smokey Dokey Chipotle Carrots from Plucky Pickles and some gin pork salami bites from Woodalls
I haven’t tried the cider but I can vouch that the Rhubarb Vodka is a lovely lightly fruity summery drink which is delicious on the rocks or served as a spritzer with water.
And, the spicy Smokey Dokey carrots are utterly delicious – I’ve been enjoying mine with some farmhouse cheddar which I buy from the Farmers’ Market at Oval.
I’ve enjoyed the whole batch of gin pork salami bites with a G&T this evening to celebrate my decorator finally finishing work on the hall and landing! So good, they lasted just a few minutes!!!
I’m happy to say that Craved has offered one lucky London-Unattached reader the chance to win 6 months free membership of the Craved Collective together with a few treats to get you started.
Just follow the Rafflecopter through and remember to answer the mandatory question. I’d like you to pop over to the Craved website and find out more about the Craved Collective – then let me know what makes it work for you. Are you interested in the products? anything in particular? Or perhaps you are excited about the events or the chance to try new products. Just let me know in the comments.
Finally, I thought you’d like to see how my wooden crate was put to good use last winter. I started to feed a young black and white cat who took up residence in my garden. As the weather got worse, I decided he needed a bit more shelter and opened the shed up for him. The Craved crate, lined with some old sweaters, made the perfect place for him to curl up and stay warm until I finally lured him indoors. He turned out to have two broken canine teeth – no wonder he wanted a bit of TLC. Obviously, he needed a name and Charlie Craved Cat seemed perfect!
I work with Cat Cuddles charity occasionally, fostering their cats and kittens. And, they were kind enough to help rehome Charlie Craved Cat who now has a new home with a Vicar!
