Fine Dining Delivered to your Door from Noble House Prepared
We first came across Noble House Prepared in the lead-up to Christmas last year. Fine Dining to your door isn’t a new concept but what marks out Noble House Prepared is that their range of dishes should suit everyone while being genuinely easy to cook. Everything they sell is delivered frozen and you can cook it straight from the freezer without needing to defrost. Food that will be just as perfect for a treat once lockdown is over, but that right now, lets you have a special meal as and when you want it no matter where in the country you are based.
We’ve been checking out a few of their dishes and have been genuinely impressed by the quality and portion size of what we’ve tried. And, we’ve learnt that Noble House has put together some special packages for Mother’s Day, so if you can’t actually see your mum this year on Mothering Sunday, you could treat her to something that really doesn’t need any effort in the kitchen to be able to eat like a Queen!
More of that later, we wanted to give you some insight into what we liked best about our Noble House Prepared samples. The first dish we tried was a limited edition special of Prawns in Prosecco. The ingredients on the back of the pack, which arrived frozen, give you some indication of the quality. 55% King Prawns. Water, White Wine, Butter, Shallots, Garlic, Double Cream, Parsley, Salt, Fish Bouillon and Black Pepper.
That’s it. No stabilisers and nothing that we wouldn’t put into this dish if I was making it at home from scratch. The prawns looked as if they had been frozen raw in the sauce, which meant that when the whole dish was cooked they were not in the least bit rubbery – one of the main problems with this kind of dish when cooked in a microwave. They were plump and juicy – and the sauce tasted completely fresh. I would happily have stocked up my freezer with more! 4 minutes from freezer to plate – for a dish that looked as good as it tasted.
Butter Chicken Tikka Curry came with a similarly impressive list of ‘real’ ingredients. 44% chicken breast with onions, peppers, tomatoes and carrots in a delicious curry sauce which was as carefully spiced as anything I’ve had from my local Indian takeaway.
And, the Salmon Teriyaki, intended for one person, was generous enough for me to share!
We were impressed by the vegetables too. Noble House Prepared offers a range of frozen vegetables to be cooked in the microwave or oven. It’s one of those details that so often goes wrong but, we found the beans and broccoli were perfect from frozen and the honey roast carrots, with parsley and Chinese 5 spice were a delicious side dish that I shall be trying to recreate for myself.
Puddings came in packs for two people but in one person ‘portions’ so that if you were dining alone you could simply pull off one of the portions and leave the other frozen. We particularly enjoyed the sticky toffee pudding with a toffee and chocolate sauce. The passionfruit cheesecake was less successful simply because there was no tidy way of removing it from the packaging. It tasted fabulous though!
For Mother’s Day, Noble House Prepared has made it even easier by creating some special selection packs so that you can treat mum to some extra special treats. I’m not a mother, but even I would be tempted by the Luxury Box for One (£122) which comes with enough food for a week or so and some delicious extras too. Here’s what some lucky mums will be getting:
- Moroccan Spiced Harissa Lamb Tagine (Serves 1)
- Beef Rendang (Serves 1)
- Salmon, Cod and Smoked Haddock Fish Pie with Cheddar Mash (Serves 1)
- Spinach and Ricotta Cannelloni, Arrabbiata Sauce and Parmesan (Serves 1)
- Basmati Rice (Twin Pack, 2x Single Portions)
- Sticky Toffee Pudding with a Chocolate Sauce (little pots, packs of 2)
- Chocolate Pot with Cream and Lime (little pots, packs of 2)
- Bottega Rose Gold Prosecco, Veneto, Italy
- Little Beauty Limited Edition Sauvignon Blanc, Marlborough, New Zealand

- Maya Key Organic and Fair Trade Ground Coffee 250g
There are boxes ranging in price from £43 up to £122 – vegetarian options too. And, as Noble House Prepared say, it’s a real chance to give Mum a break from the daily grind of cooking and a chance to enjoy fine food whenever she wants. There are also gift vouchers if you’d rather let her choose for herself. Delivery is available nationwide and is done in conjunction with DPD next day delivery. You can pick any day from Tuesday through to Saturday and pick a date up to 6 weeks in advance, subject to availability. So, you should be able to get your present to mum in plenty of time for the big day!
