Shuttlecock Inc Presents NTV Spring Break
Peter Pan has to be my all-time favourite childhood story, I was forever living in a world of pirates and Lost Boys and so when I was invited to go along to a party in an immersive adult playground version of JM Barrie’s Neverland I just couldn’t refuse.
On the weekend of the 19th- 21st April London party purveyors, Shuttlecock Inc will be distilling everything you loved about MTV Spring Break in the late 90s. Taking place at Park Village Studios, an iconic 10,000 sq. ft. film and photographic studio turned event space overlooking Regent’s Park, NTV Spring Break will allow revellers to eat, drink and party in an irreverent reimagining of Peter Pan’s home patch, complete with hipster Lost Boys, geezer Pirates, a trustafarian Tiger Lily, a tattooed Tinkerbell, a gangsta rapping Croc and the dance battle to end all dance battles.
Brought to you by Shuttlecock Inc, the independent creative production behind Mile High, Rumble at the Deli and The Blue Lotus Opium Den, NTV Spring Break will mark five years of creating extraordinary experiences. This event, the first public party for two years, is sure to be another spectacular offering from the four cousins who were among the originators of London’s immersive dining scene.
NTV Spring Break begins when guests are welcomed into the Darling’s House and offered a drink from George and Mary Darling, parents of Wendy, John and Michael. Upon entering into Neverland, guests can turn right to meet the Lost Boys, a group of bearded hipsters in ironic t-shirts, who have come together to run a street food collective that would give Broadway Market a run for its money. Each market stall will offer the very latest food trend – think fish tacos with smoked chilli and burnt habanero, hot’n’sour wings, brioche three-cheese toasties with pickles, dulce de leche churros and more chipotle mayo than is strictly healthy.
After lining their stomach, guests can head to Tinkerbell’s Bar, run by a foul-mouthed, no-nonsense fairy covered in ink and as hard as a rusty nail. Tink serves up ‘Fukk’n Intense Dark’n’Stormies’ from the best watering hole on the island, an Austin-style dive bar filled with rockabilly memorabilia, neon signs and the sounds of a thrash metal soundtrack.
Tinkerbell’s Bar neighbours on to Croc’s Territory, sworn enemy of Jimmy ‘Ook. A Hip Hop legend complete with a clock on a chain around his neck and an entourage, the Croc is a badass and the unofficial king of Neverland. He will be shooting his latest music video complete with backing dancers and b-boys sipping forties of malt liquor.
You get the picture…. It sounds like fun to me!
