I love food and wine. I’m happy enough to cook and eat at home, but I do enjoy going out and trying new bars and restaurants. I’m lucky enough to live in an area of London that has it’s own rather excellent local restaurants. The first Michelin starred pub in London is about 5 minutes walk from home and I can dine on excellent Taiwanese, Chinese, Indian, Brazilian, French and Mediterranean food without the need to catch a bus or get a taxi. I’m going to review some of my favourites here, and just hope you don’t all discover them too quickly.
I’m also covering pop-ups and special food events under this category. It’s very hard to know whether a pop-up that lasts for a few months or a year or so is a restaurant or not…so, youl will find places like The Cube by Electrolux reviewed and short lease pop-ups like Roganic covered here. While these are often not cheap, they do seem to offer some of the most unique dining experiences in London.
