Healthy Decadence in Dessert Form

As we hurtle towards Christmas like a drunken Santa speeding down the outside lane of the M25 what are we to do about our lardy lockdown waistlines? With the world in a Covid crisis it seems positively churlish to hold back on the pleasures of life; but with trousers and skirts straining at the seams how do we indulge without going the full Rudy Giuliani? Never fear dear reader. London Unattached has come to the rescue with our review of the positively healthy Saintly Divine Desserts.

Saintly range

Inspired by the ‘best of British puds’, Saintly Divine Desserts contain no artificial additives, preservatives, palm oil, dairy or animal products…I wish I could say the same about myself…and they are hand-made by beautiful elves in their vegan kitchen in Cambridge. Actually, I made up the bit about the elves but you get my drift… I was sent a handsome box containing all 5 puddings which all come in a virtuously yummy spelt, almond and oat crust.

2020_05_22_Saintly_Social_Apple_2148

The ‘British Apple’ features slices of British Bramley apple topped with slices of sweet dessert apple. ‘Dark Chocolate’ has rich dark chocolate, coconut milk and cashew milk ganache. ‘Sweet Almond & Raspberry’ features juicy raspberries nestled in almond frangipane and ‘Blackberry & Apple Crumble’ Tarts are like a juicy fruit crumble in tart form.

Chocolate & Salted Caramel

My favourite (of course) were the gooey Chocolate & Salted Caramel Tarts. So if like me you’re looking for a healthy alternative then why not give Saintly Divine Desserts a spin?  You can keep them in your freezer and bring them out for any kind of emergency.

For stockists check the Saintly Foods website.

And for your chance to win, just remembering to answer the mandatory question – which of the Saintly Divine Desserts would be most likely to make you sin – check their website for inspiration
