Authentic Italian to your door

Like so many people, I’m dreaming of travelling again.  While I can’t do so right now, the next best thing is to indulge my tastebuds by eating the kind of food I love when I AM away from home. Seggiano is both a small town in Tuscany and the name of a specialist food producer with a focus on sustainable agriculture and premium Italian products.  Originally small-batch olive oil producers, David and Peri, the founders of Seggiano have built their business by finding specialist producers from different parts of Italy, true Italian artisanal food!

The olive oil, Lunaio Extra Virgin Olive Oil is still one of their leading products, but it has been joined by a whole range of delicious bottles and jars – artichokes from Sicily,  wild asparagus from Tuscany, olives from Puglia and more.   When I heard about them recently, I had a special request for the kind of food that I might enjoy in Puglia – and was rewarded with a whole selection (and some of their own olive oil) which I’ll be using to make a feast of dishes from Puglia to pair with some wine.

Seggiano Products Puglia

As Seggiano themselves point out

Italians identify strongly with their local, regional foods and we like to think that it took us impassioned and dedicated outsiders to see the bigger picture and select the best of the best from all over Italy’s wildly rich landscape and culinary heritage.

Now, you can buy from their online store – do go and take a look.  You’ll find that all the products come with more information about where they are from and what makes them so special – just click on each image to get the detail.  It’s an Italian food lover’s dream.

And, I’m thrilled one lucky London-Unattached reader will win some olive oil of their own from Tuscany, balsamic vinegar from Emilia Romagna and a set of three delicious chocolate nut spreads made with Italian hazelnuts from Lazio.  Worth £37 in total, it’s a great example of the regional specialisations you’ll find across Italy. Seggiano Prize

If you’d like the chance to win this taste of Italy for yourself, just follow the rafflecopter through, remembering to answer the mandatory question (you’ll need to check the Seggiano website!).
