Greenall’s Sloe Gin Cocktails and Giveaway:
Those of you with sharp eyes may have noticed that I’ve recently visited the Greenall’s distillery in Warrington. It was amazing fun – and I’m looking forward to making some of my own cocktails with the bottle of Sloe Gin I brought home with me.
Greenall’s Sloe Gin is created from a traditional, hand-crafted recipe and brings together sweet sloe berries and Greenall’s The Original London Dry Gin to create a subtle and warming blend. It’s made by macerating sloe berries in Greenall’s Original London Dry Gin. After eight weeks, the wonderfully flavoured mixture is gravity fed to remove the solid berries and then the mixture is processed until it’s ready to be filtered and bottled at 26% ABV. It’s delicious, sweet and almondy. The perfect autumn tipple! And, although the new Greenall’s Sloe Gin will be available nationwide from November 2017, London-Unattached readers have a chance to win their own bottle!
If you check my last post you’ll find a couple of ideas for Sloe Gin cocktails. And, I’m sharing a third recipe here, for Sloe Thyme – a delicious long cocktail made with cloudy lemonade. Which is your own favourite? or would you make something different.
- 50 ml Greenall's Sloe Gin
- 150 ml Cloudy Lemonade
- 1 sprig Thyme
- 1 slice Lemon
Fill a tall glass with ice
Pour in the Greenall's Sloe Gin
Slowly pour in the cloudy lemonade or lemon tonic and stir gently to mix
Garnish with a sprig of thyme and a lemon slice
If you’d like to try this or one of the other cocktail recipes for yourself, why not enter the giveaway. It’s worth checking the Greenall’s site for yourself and my previous post to check what might be your favourite cocktail.
