Stock'd Up - Wandsworth

Only open a few weeks before Covid-19 hit, London Stock had been slowly building its reputation for superb food and getting rave reviews from enthusiastic diners – including me (here).

Situated in Wandsworth’s Ram Quarter, the cooking from the very talented chefs behind London Stock was absolutely heavenly, fine dining dishes with creative twists inspired by the cuisines of Japan and Korea.

Now though, with the restaurant closed indefinitely, the team have come up with Stock’d Up, London Stock’s new, little sister, dedicated to creating comforting, innovative dishes to be enjoyed at home.

Available from 11.30 am to 8.00 pm seven days a week, the Stock’d Up menu offers a set of brand new dishes, alongside old favourites, available for home-delivery to locals in the Ram Quarter, or to be collected for those a bit further afield.

Sandwiches, created with a London Stock twist, cost from £8 and feature short rib beef, pork belly and the humble fish finger.

Mains are an absolute steal from just £10 and the menu features delicious-sounding dishes like miso cod, pork chop, aubergine and butternut squash, all given that special London Stock twist.

Puds include sticky toffee pudding, rhubarb and apple crumble but the star must be the London Stock Paris Brest for a fiver, malt and miso mousseline, Sambrook’s Imperial Stout, hazelnut and dark chocolate.

And you can enjoy their excellent wine list!

Call Stock’d Up on 020 8075 3877 to order and give them 30 mins notice before going along to 2 Bubbling Well Square in the Ram Quarter to collect – it’s very easy to find.

You’ll be glad you did and you’ll be helping out a great restaurant which deserves to do well.

About Nick Devonald

A frequent business traveller, Nick has spent a lot of his evenings sitting alone in restaurants around Northern and Central Europe, the Baltic states and the Middle East so really enjoys the chance to write about them from time to time. When not away, Nick tries to keep a finger on the cultural pulse of London by going to concerts and the theatre or at least reading the reviews. As he seems to know some countries better than his own, he particularly enjoys exploring towns and cities in the UK when he gets the chance.
