The Royal Adelaide Hotel in Windsor:
and the Grilled Sea Bass on a bed of sautéed vegetables with a lemon sauce (£15) would be a sensible choice.
Desserts included Apple Crumble and Eton Mess (£5.95).
The real joy of the hotel for me is its proximity to Windsor Castle which is the largest and oldest inhabited castle in the world. The view down the Long Drive which leads to the castle is stunning and my visit was made more exciting as there was an investiture happening with a phalanx of security men checking that the people coming to receive their honours were who they said they were.
