Thomas Fudge’s – Better than Baking:
I’m something of a fair weather baker and I generally only fire up the oven to bake if I have friends around. While I love home baked biscuits, if I do bake I tend to make lots – and then somehow they all get eaten. It doesn’t matter if there’s a crowd of people around for tea or just me. They still all get eaten.
Finding good quality and easily available biscuits and flapjacks that I can feast on without finding myself needing to diet for the entire month following is such a saving for me. And Thomas Fudge’s fills that spot to perfection.
Founded in 1916, Thomas Fudge’s products all fall into that category of accessible indulgences for me. The biscuits come in packs of 6 luscious moments of deliciousness. Of course you are supposed to enjoy one or two at a time. But, if I fail dismally, as I’ve been known to do, and eat an entire package in one sitting there’s a certain amount of damage limitation there. They have a range of flapjacks, florentines and savoury biscuits and crackers too. The kind of thing you buy intending to store it away for a treat and end up eating anyway.
I’ve been munching my way through some delicious, short, triple chocolate blisscuits – very aptly named indeed.
And I know I love the Thomas Fudge’s Florentines – I used to pass those off as my own each year at Christmas! Flapjacks too are just perfect to eat with a morning cuppa
So I can heartily recommend the Thomas Fudge’s range which is widely available in good supermarkets and delis around the country.
If you want the chance to try for yourself, those lovely Dorset bakers have offered me two prizes of a selection of Thomas Fudge’s goodies, each worth £25. The lucky winners will be getting a selection of their Florentines, blisscuits, flapjacks and Thomas Fudge’s will be throwing in a packet of their brand new flapjacks as well. So, I’m going to challenge you to name your ‘desert island Thomas Fudge’s ‘ – which of the packets would you take with you if you were going to be stranded on a desert island and why!
Pop over to their website and check for yourself. I defy you not to be tempted!
