Getting Tramped at 50!
Iconic London nightclub Tramp has just celebrated its 50th birthday and we were invited to the official birthday celebrations at a star-studded Christmas party. Guests were a who’s who of the London party scene and with a wonderful live band and DJs and the champagne flowing freely, a good time was had by all.
The club has been a mainstay of London clubland since it opened in December 1969 attracting stars and an exclusive clientele wanting to party until late in an atmosphere of stylish luxury and total discretion.
Named after Charlie Chaplin’s ‘The Little Tramp’ character by founders Oscar Lerman, Bill Ofner and Johnny Gold, the club was a regular haunt of stars ranging from Frank Sinatra and the Beatles to Peter Sellers, Joan Collins, Liza Minnelli as well as contemporary celebrities such as Drake, Rihanna, Noel Gallagher, David Beckham and Kate Moss.
With late-night dining, a fabulous bar and a humidor and terrace for cigar smokers as well as regular live entertainment, Tramp is STILL the perfect West End venue for an evening of sophisticated fun!
