It’s Finally Feeling Summery!
Time for a picnic, a barbeque or just some alfresco dining in the back garden.
I’ve been sent a few samples of some great pickles and chutneys from English Provender. Chutney is the sort of thing I know I could make myself…but, making a batch of chutney has left me with a cupboard full of the same kind. And, even if I give all my friends a jar for Christmas I’d still be eating it for the next couple of years.
Instead, I prefer to buy good quality pickles and chutneys. It means that I can have a beetroot pickle one day, a caramelised red onion chutney the next, rather than working my way through a batch of 10 jars of the same thing. It saves time, means I can try a whole range of different tastes and flavours and saves precious cupboard space.
It’s important for me though to find something which tastes like homemade and, with English Provender Co. I think I’ve got just that. The English Provender Co. create their chutneys and pickles using traditional open-pan preserving methods , just like I would do if I was making my own. Obviously, all their recipes are carefully researched so that the quality is as good as possible, the chunks are just the right size and the flavours are spot on. Of course, theirs doesn’t ever burn or not set…
I’ve got a few samples here to try and I’m planning on pairing the Caramelised Red Onion Chutney with some proper butchers sausages for tea tonight. And, I’ve got some to give away too – a bundle of different flavours from both the Proper Pickle range and the Chutney range. If you’d like to be in with a chance of winning, then just follow through the Rafflecopter as normal and keep your fingers crossed.
