A luxurious treat for one at Sofitel SPA at Sofitel London St James.

Housed in a grand and historic building, which was once Lloyds Bank, the hotel seamlessly blends classic architecture with contemporary luxury. The grandeur begins in the lobby, where soaring ceilings, chic decor, and tasteful furnishings create an ambience that eloquently captures the essence of French art de vivre.
The spa is a sanctuary of serenity, embodying the sophistication and luxury synonymous with the Sofitel brand, thoughtfully designed to create the ultimate relaxation experience. It comes complete with a Turkish hammam, jacuzzi, beauty treatments and an elegant relaxation room.
Upon arrival, I completed a brief form while savouring a cup of herbal tea, the perfect welcome from the cold January weather. Afterward, my therapist Lena led me to the treatment room. Once there, all I needed to do was recline on the cosy heated bed, relax, and indulge in my rejuvenating facial … heaven!
The spa uses a selection of Sothys products, a brand originating in 1946 amidst the French beauty renaissance which offers responsible and conscientious beauty solutions. Since its inception, it has been synonymous with French expertise in delivering professional beauty treatments.
The Sofitel’s signature Revitalising Facial seamlessly blends the finest elements of French massage technique, honey, and mini stones. Beginning with a gentle cleanse and exfoliation, the treatment progresses to a wonderful massage encompassing the face, head, neck, and shoulders. A comforting cucumber compress, a nourishing face mask, and thorough moisturisation follow suit.
Post-treatment, my skin exuded a plump, radiant glow, and I found myself in a state of complete relaxation – prepared to tackle the bustling streets of London with renewed energy.
