London Unattached is a London lifestyle magazine. We currently cover many aspects of London life, from theatre and live events to restaurant and premium bar reviews. We review London and out-of-town hotels and have a travel section for solos and couples. Our sister site RestlessFeet.com has more extensive travel coverage. Our award-winning content is syndicated to MSN.

Fiona Maclean: Founder and EditorFiona is a music graduate from the Univesity of Sussex with an MBA from Warwick University Business School. She started her career working in arts administration before moving on to hospitality marketing running marketing campaigns for a restaurant group. Years later, after working in financial services, telecoms and for an integrated advertising agency, Fiona ended up back where she began – covering food, the arts and travel for London Unattached. Adrian York: Deputy Editor – Opera, Theatre, Restaurants and BarsDr Adrian York is a musician, academic and writer specialising in opera, theatre and restaurant reviews together with writing and broadcasting about popular culture. He studied music under Jonathan Harvey at the University of Sussex and then at the Guildhall School of Music and brings unparalleled expertise to his craft. With a day job lecturing in music at the University of Westminster and playing the piano at night at London’s Groucho Club, Dr York is a prize-winning writer with many articles published in London Unattached, The Independent, The Huffington Post and The Conversation as well as being a regular interviewee on the BBC. |

Madeleine Morrow: Deputy Editor – Travel and CultureMadeleine is a freelance journalist and writer for print and digital media. She focuses mainly on food and travel but with a lifelong love of the arts – especially visual arts, theatre and literature – she enjoys writing reviews for London Unattached. Madeleine has lived half her life in South Africa and the other in London which has widened her experiences of multiple cultures, languages and cuisines. Having grown up when travel was restricted to local holidays, she has spent her adult life fulfilling a desire to see the world. She is a die-hard Francophile but put her anywhere and she is happy. Catherine Anderson: Culture, Food and Travel WriterCatherine is a writer and editor who studied Theatre Arts during a gap year exchange at Davidson College in North Carolina before going to Edinburgh University to do a degree in modern languages. She’s worked in many areas of the media but particularly enjoyed a stint running a theatre channel for Virgin Net and setting up a showbiz and entertainment website for Trinity Mirror. She’s also written for and edited magazines about Downton Abbey, BBC Classic Dramas and the X Files. Catherine loves writing about the cultural treasures of London, especially the theatre, as well as the city’s restaurant scene. |

Nick Devonald: Travel WriterAs a frequent business traveller, Nick has visited the Nordic countries, and Baltic states many times, along with numerous trips to Central Europe, as well as Turkiye and the Middle East more widely. Other work trips have taken him as far afield as Argentina and Mongolia. Andrew Lohmann: Opera CriticAndrew suffers from a debilitating addiction to the arts. Whether it’s via poetry, literature, classical music, ballet or modern art, he will take any path to escape reality (though preferably a beautiful one.) Happiest welded into an armchair in the London Library, watching opera, or imbibing double-figure pints of Guinness in a hellhole pub. Tacita Quinn: Arts CriticTacita is a freelance journalist based in London writing features, reviews, and articles predominantly on arts and culture. Jenny Strong: Dance CriticJenny Strong is the specialist dance critic for London-Unattached. She is a dance and classical music fanatic who comes from a family of professional musicians and ballet dancers. She studied the piano, harpsichord and cello and attended the Junior Royal College of Music. She read Ancient History at Bristol University with a focus on archaeological exploration. Jenny has had many careers in the city throughout her life in the Civil Service and in museums, including The Natural History and the British Museum, teaching, and selling ice-creams in the theatre as a teenager. A keen singer, she has sung in choirs all over the world. She loves attending the ballet, often with her adult and teenage children who keep her up to date with Gen-Z slang. |
