Glow Up For The New Year

Winter’s relentless whirl of festivities can leave even the most polished among us looking a little worse for wear. Late nights, over-styled hair, and makeup that’s seen one too many touch-ups can wreak havoc on our complexions and locks. Enter GA Salon, the saviour for party-season casualties, offering an indulgent menu of red-carpet-worthy treatments for both face and hair. With fabulous outposts in South Kensington, Chelsea, Wimbledon, and Notting Hill, these beauty havens promise to restore your glow, so you can face the next soirée with radiant confidence.

GA Salon delivers everything you’d expect from a high-end hair and beauty destination: an exceptional range of treatments to pamper both your skin and hair. With a choice of salons, you can take your pick. I visited GA Salon’s South Kensington branch, perfectly located in an elegant Georgian townhouse on Thurloe Street, just steps from the South Kensington tube station exit, making it as convenient as it is effortlessly chic. I went along to try out their famed Oxylight LED Light Facial. From the moment I arrived, I was warmly welcomed and asked to fill out a quick pre-treatment questionnaire, whilst I enjoyed a coffee and a perfectly crisp biscotti, served on a stylish tray. The salon is lively yet elegant, and perfectly in step with the polished South Ken crowd.

I am a huge facial fan, I know that my complexion really benefits from regular treatments. But the Oxylight LED Light Facial is no ordinary facial, this is next-level skincare. A high-tech, six-in-one treatment, it’s engineered to tackle everything from acne and fine lines to uneven tone, while boosting your overall skin health. Combining cutting-edge technology with expert hands, it’s the perfect solution for targeted results, or simply for that elusive, lit-from-within glow we all crave. Completely customisable, the Oxylight Facial is gentle, non-invasive, and surprisingly relaxing, plus there is no downtime so you can be confident that you’ll be ready to go out that same evening. The session lasts between 60 and 120 minutes, depending on which session you book, and with zero downtime, you can walk straight out feeling refreshed and ready to face the day, radiance restored.

What is an Oxylight Facial?

The Oxylight LED Light Facial is a game-changing treatment that offers a multitude of benefits for skin health and appearance. Designed to rejuvenate and restore, it stimulates collagen production to improve elasticity and firmness, effectively reducing fine lines and wrinkles for a more youthful glow. For those battling acne, the facial’s blue LED light targets acne-causing bacteria, helping to clear breakouts while preventing future flare-ups.

Beyond its targeted treatments, the Oxylight Facial enhances overall skin texture and tone, leaving skin noticeably smoother, with reduced pore size and a more even complexion. Its anti-inflammatory properties make it ideal for sensitive skin or conditions like rosacea, while its ability to boost circulation and lymphatic flow promotes a healthier, more radiant look. With additional benefits like cellular regeneration, detoxification, and hyperpigmentation reduction, this comprehensive treatment blends advanced technologies, including LED light therapy, oxygen infusion, microcurrents, and ultrasound, for a holistic, non-invasive solution. Best of all, it’s gentle enough for most skin types and with the added benefit of no downtime, it makes it as convenient as it is effective.

My therapist Aleksandra was lovely, she ran through the treatment procedure before she began. Armed with a little knowledge, all I had to do now was lie back, relax, and enjoy the hour ahead- hoping to reap all the benefits it promised. I couldn’t believe the difference – my skin was glowing, smooth, and nourished, leaving me feeling radiant and confident, for the new year!

If you’re craving a little self-care, GA Salon has everything you need. From expert hair styling to indulgent, luxurious treatment rooms, they’ve got you covered for the ultimate pampering experience.
