Effective and pain-free laser hair removal

Laser Me Out, is a salon on Harley Street dedicated entirely to laser hair removal. Unwanted body hair is an age-old problem which women and men have constantly sought a solution to. When I was younger, I remember using hair removal creams which gave me an unsightly rash or shaving which only lasts for a very short period of time.  More recently I have turned to waxing, more effective as it stops regrowth for approximately 6 weeks, but can be quite painful. However, none of these methods offers a permanent solution.

The search for a long-term hair removal system which is quick and relatively pain-free has been the holy grail for millennia, which is why laser hair removal has become a popular option which not only has lasting effects but it’s also much less painful than waxing. Plus, it is by far the most effective method to choose if you are prone to ingrowing hairs as the laser goes straight to the root cause by destroying the follicle. Laser hair removal has technically been an option since the 1960s, it is the process of hair removal by means of exposure to pulses of laser light that destroy the hair follicle. The prototype ‘ruby’ laser was invented by Theodore H Maiman. But electrolysis is a slow process each hair must be addressed individually making treatments both time-consuming and expensive. The early cosmetic lasers were laborious and could often be dangerous. However, today’s laser hair removal systems are safe, which is in part due to the advent of an inbuilt cooling mechanism that limits heat exposure and protects the skin. They have come on a long way since the 1960s!

Laser Me Out

I went along to Laser Me Out’s Harley Street clinic where I was met with my technician Hely who made me feel very comfortable and explained the procedure step by step. First, the skin area which is being targeted is dry brushed, then a cool gel is applied before the laser gun is moved all over the area, and then the gel is removed, it really is as simple as that. My treatment was remarkably relaxing and pain-free. I have had laser treatments before and I can honestly say this is the crème de la crème of all laser hair removal treatments, and my results have been fantastic.

Laser Me Out - Soprano Titanium

What makes Laser Me Out different to many other salon treatments is that they use a unique dry brushing technique which removes or brings any ingrown hairs to the surface, so the laser treatments are significantly more effective. They also use the world’s premier multi-award-winning laser hair removal technology, Soprano Titanium which gives you results that no other laser can offer. It is safe and effective and FDA-approved with clinically proven results. I was quite impressed by the unique breakthrough applicator which has an especially large spot size of 4 cm2, that is capable of working on a grid of 600cm square. The technician gently moves the applicator over the skin areas that are being treated, this makes treatments much faster and virtually pain-free and significantly cuts the treatment times.

At Laser Me Out they are friendly and unintimidating, they want to ensure that your first experience isn’t a nerve-wracking one. They tailor the treatment to your individual needs to guarantee you get the best results. They can cover the full body area or specific areas of your choice. The joy is you never have to shave or wax ever again… just imagine!
