Eel at Petrus by Gordon Ramsay

Now in Kinnerton St, Belgravia, with head chef 35-year-old Orson Vergnaud having just retained Pétrus’ Michelin star, it seems like the perfect time to check it out and see what this new phase in the restaurant’s history offers.

Restaurant of the Month – La Môme

La Môme interior 1

As consumers, we have to find the restaurants that suit our temperaments, budget and palate. La Môme is all about the scene and if you buy into that and can afford the bill then you will have a lovely time. It’s still a very new opening and I wonder if the Frères Lecorché have slightly underestimated Londoners’ openness to a more robust approach to flavouring. They seem like canny operators and will probably catch on. I

The Hari exterior

The Hari has also transformed its Garden Terrace into a sparkling winter wonderland, adorned with gorgeous festive decorations by Atelier Emmanuel. Frost-touched foliage, traditional yule blooms, and a twinkling Christmas tree create a magical atmosphere.

Cornus-Petits-Fours

Fine dining in Belgravia August’s restaurant of the month is Cornus, a brand new opening from the team behind Medlar in Chelsea. Heading up the kitchen is executive head chef Gary Foulkes whose career highlights include starting out with Gary Rhodes, working with Philip Howard at The Square and more recently taking the Angler to its […]

Chucs Belgravia tarte tatin

Affordable luxury dining at Chucs, Belgravia. Sometimes we all need a little luxury and effortless glamour in our lives. Chucs new flagship restaurant, which has recently opened in Belgravia’s Eccleston Street, provides exactly that. Since the launch of the original and much-acclaimed Chucs on Mayfair’s Dover Street in summer 2014, the group has successfully expanded […]

Uni Belgravia – #Nikkei near Victoria

Uni - Yellowfin Tiraditos

Delicious Japanese Nikkei Dishes at Uni, Belgravia: Having raved about the food at Chotto Matte, it would have been churlish to turn down an invitation to visit Uni (which is apparently Japanese for Sea Urchin), in the heart of Belgravia, another restaurant offering Nikkei cuisine (Japanese/Peruvian fusion dishes).   I suspect the pretty wood sculptures […]

Mango Tree Thai Restaurant in Belgravia

mango tree lobster

Review: Mango Tree Thai Restaurant – Belgravia: Taking a drinks writer to a restaurant with a superb cocktail bar must be the diametric opposite of taking a pescatarian to an Argentinian restaurant.  And so, having taken the Hedonist with me to Zoilo it was only right and proper that I should take Simon from by-invitation […]
