Nieves has just added Legado to her portfolio in the edgier environs of Shoreditch. The restaurant’s mission is ‘to celebrate the diverse regional food cultures of Spain and its islands, allowing the lesser-known to take centre stage’. In addition to the restaurant, there is a tapas and pintxos bar, ‘The Taberna’, which deserves a separate visit.
The Brush East London Grand Café – Sunday Roast
At London Unattached, we’re always on the hunt for standout Sunday lunch spots, so an invitation to The Brush, East London’s latest grand café-style restaurant, felt like just the thing
One Club Row, Shoreditch – Restaurant of the Month
One Club Row Brings New York Glamour to Shoreditch
UBA Restaurant, Shoreditch
Perhaps it’s symptomatic of multicultural London to take a Latvian chef, Pavel Baranovs, who started his career in a Japanese restaurant in Riga and set him up in the kitchen of the Hart Shoreditch Hotel, creating dishes for their Pan-Asian restaurant UBA. But it’s a testament to the hotel and to Pavel himself that what results is a delightful place with excellent and well-priced dishes in a glamorous and warm setting.
Gloria, Shoreditch – Big Mamma Goes East
Fun Italian-style dining from Gloria After reviewing Jacuzzi for London Unattached last year, I was keen to visit another of Big Mamma’s Italian restaurants. I thoroughly approve of the group’s ethos that dining out should be OTT, theatrical and fun. Gloria is Big Mamma’s Shoreditch outpost, its website promising “a 70’s Capri-style & all-day long […]
Sushi Revolution Shoreditch.
High-quality and relaxed Japanese dining in Shoreditch. The past few years have been strong ones for Japanese cuisine in the London food scene – with new openings across the price spectrum popping up across the capital. Whether high-end omakase menus or the more informal izakaya set-up, Londoners’ appetite for Japanese food and culture is only […]
Sunday Sessions at The Light Bar, Shoreditch – Restaurant Review

It’s a day free from the pressures to do anything other than take it easy, prepare for the week ahead and recover from the lingering effects of Saturday’s antics. Most importantly though, it’s a day to indulge in copious amounts […]
Llama Inn Shoreditch – Restaurant of the Month
Bringing the Llama to London via New York Restaurant of the Month is our chance to choose a new London opening we think will be a winner. For September I’ve picked a New York import, albeit one that serves contemporary Peruvian food. Llama Inn has taken over the rooftop restaurant and terrace at The Hoxton […]
Brat, Shoreditch London
Brat, Redchurch Street – Basque dining via Wales in Shoreditch Make your way to the side door of Smoking Goat on Redchurch Street, through a scruffy entrance hall where the only clue about what is upstairs is the neatly lined up bottles of wines and climb the lino-clad stairs. Brat, with one Michelin Star, is the […]
Lahpet – Review
Authentic Burmese Restaurant in London at Lahpet: Burmese cuisine is one of the most under-represented of the various South-East Asian food cultures in the London food scene. Lahpet Burmese restaurant on bustling Bethnal Green Road in the heart of Shoreditch is trying to put that right. After a successful year-long pop-up in Hackney, founders Dan Anton and Head […]
