Bottomless Bubbles at The Summer Terrace:

Anyone who has visited Dubai and indulged in a Friday Brunch experience will relish the Biltmore Summer Weekend Brunch.  A hedonistic experience, you can enjoy unlimited food from Chef’s cold table to start – the kind of dishes you’d expect from a five-star hotel buffet and more. All in the setting of the Biltmore’s Summer Terrace, a space to the rear of the hotel with a covered roof to make al-fresco dining possible whatever the British weather.  Comfy chairs with a garden vibe, banquette seating and plenty of Veuve Clicquot on display.

Biltmore Brunch Terrace

This is a brunch with the option of bottomless Veuve Cliquot for just a £10 premium, making it one of the best luxury offers we’ve found in town.

Veuve Clicquot Champage at the Biltmore

If you prefer to sit indoors there’s plenty of space in the Biltmore’s restaurant, with champagne and pink velvet chairs and banquettes together with pristine tables, smart silverware and fine glassware.

At the Chef’s cold table you’ll find a whole range of dishes on offer.

Seafood Salad in Scallop Shells - Biltmore Summer Brunch

We spotted Iberico ham to carve, smoked and cured salmon, platters of spiced mussels and tiger prawns and a seafood salad served in scallop shells.

Chefs Kitchen Salads

There was a whole range of healthy and delicious salads, with nuts and seeds to top them.

Taco shells were waiting to be filled and there were individual prawn cocktails with a range of dressings on offer.

Biltmore Brunch - Sushi

If you fancied your own caprese salad there was a plateful of beautifully arranged heritage tomatoes interleaved with mozzarella.  There were olives, artichokes and sun-dried tomatoes and every dressing you could ever have wanted.

In short, it was hard not to overindulge at this stage of the summer brunch.

But, we’d already checked out the main course offerings and both of us were craving a chicken roast dinner.  There are quite a few delicious-sounding options from Beef Ribeye or Braised leg of lamb to grilled fish of the day.  Or, for something a bit lighter, a poached egg and avocado on sourdough.  There’s a spring green asparagus and snow pea risotto or for those with a sweet tooth, coconut pancakes with matcha green tea ice cream.

Roast Chicken - Biltmore Brunch

The roast meat part of our chicken plate was delicious, with classic accompaniments of glazed carrots and parsnip, duck fat potatoes and gravy.  We both thought the Yorkshire pudding was rather dry and there was simply not enough gravy.

Biltmore Brunch Desserts

Dessert was back on form – there was an astonishing selection of dishes and we both loved the little raspberry tart.

There were plenty of other alternatives – and a fabulous selection of cheeses that just needed to be tried.

Cheese Selection at the Biltmore Summer Brunch

Throughout the meal, our bespoke Veuve Clicquot glasses were kept topped up.  The classic summer brunch is priced at £55 but for just £10 more you can have 90 minutes of unlimited champagne in addition to all the food on offer.  The only problem I can see is that it’s far too easy to spend time looking and choosing from the delicious Chef’s Kitchen selection.  This is certainly a great place to meet up with friends for a weekend brunch.

Brunch is served on Saturdays and Sundays from 12 pm to 4 pm.
