A visit to La Terrasse by Grey Goose – a stylish alfresco venue

4.5 out of 5.0 stars

Nestled within the elegant Rosewood Hotel in High Holborn, La Terrasse by Grey Goose offers Londoners a chic escape to the French Riviera, without ever leaving the city. This sophisticated outdoor terrace, inspired by ‘The Spirit of a French Summer,’ blends timeless French cuisine with a curated cocktail menu that showcases Grey Goose vodka. With both open-air seating and a stylish covered dining area, La Terrasse provides an inviting setting for alfresco dining during the warmer months. Guests can indulge in classic French dishes while sipping on expertly crafted vodka cocktails, all within the refined ambience of one of London’s premier luxury hotels.

Set in the grand courtyard of the Rosewood London Hotel, this hidden gem is just waiting to be discovered. The outdoor space with its lush greenery and comfortable seating is a beautiful oasis set back from the bustle of High Holborn. A charming kiosk, lined with gleaming bottles of Grey Goose vodka, adds a touch of elegance and character to the space.

The indoor restaurant area, a perfect location whatever the weather, is welcoming and chic.  Small marble stands with miniature olive trees give it a Mediterranean feel. The seats are incredibly comfortable, with adequate room between the tables, making it a spacious dining venue.

The menu at La Terrasse features delicious French cuisine, expertly prepared to a high standard. Hors d’oeuvres options include huîtres fraîches with melon compote, the traditional French salad Niçoise with tuna and quail egg, and coquille Saint-Jacques with potato foam.

For a lighter main course, you can choose moules marinières with Chablis, shallots and beurre de Normandie or steak frites with Café de Paris butter. Larger dishes include sole meunière, Dover sole with seaweed and pickled cucumber, or the plateau de fruits de mer, a delightful assortment of oysters, Dorset crab, poached prawns, and smoked salmon.

The desserts sound enticing, with a choice of Tarte du jour and Paris-Brest au caramel praline, featuring praline and caramel.

The menu is perfect for any occasion, whether you’re looking for a light meal, a leisurely lunch, or a superb evening meal.

De Provence & À la Pêche cocktails at La Terrasse the Rosewood London

The list of cocktails crafted from Grey Goose vodka is very tempting. Choose from the summery signature cocktails: a Grey Goose Martini or Zeste, a long cocktail made with Grey Goose Le Citron, bitter lemon liqueur, rhubarb and Mediterranean lemonade. This is a refreshing citrus drink with a lovely lemon taste.

The spritz section offers more long drinks perfect for a summer’s day. The De Provence is a long, smooth cocktail featuring Grey Goose, Rosé, raspberry, citrus, and soda. À la Pêche is a light cocktail featuring Grey Goose, Crème de Pêche, St. Germain, and citrus.

I was hosted at La Terrasse for a light lunch. I chose the classic Moules Marinères with a side of Parmesan truffle fries. The mussels were soft and tender, served in a delicious, creamy sauce.

To drink, I opted for a de Provence spritz, which was light and refreshing with a hint of raspberry. I couldn’t resist trying a Zeste cocktail too, as I was in no hurry to leave. My companion chose the à la Pêche cocktail, a lovely long summery drink.

La Terrasse by Grey Goose at the Rosewood Hotel London is a fabulous and stylish place to meet friends and enjoy authentic French dishes accompanied by fantastic Grey Goose cocktails.

If you are a fan of Jazz, why not head to Seabird, the rooftop terrace at The Hoxton in Southwark, where Ronnie Scott’s will be in residence on selected Fridays through the summer? This series of sessions, in partnership with Grey Goose vodka from June 6th to August 29th, combines specially crafted Grey Goose cocktails with live jazz sessions.

The highlight of the cocktail menu is the Ronnie Scott’s Pearl Martini, a blend of Grey Goose Altius, Vermouth, and oyster leaf, served with a Gillardeau oyster and lime caviar.
