A fabulous facial in West London at Sk:n
Winter takes its toll on our skin; my summer glow is long gone and a rather more pale and tired complexion has taken its place so I was delighted to be invited along to one of UK’s leading skin specialist clinics Sk:n at my local branch in Shepherds Bush to try out their Hydrafacial treatment in hope of bringing back the glow.

So after a long week amidst the pre-Christmas madness, I was rather looking forward to a bit of pampering, and it’s ideal that the Shepherds Bush branch is just a skip and a hop from my home. I was greeted by the friendly staff and asked to fill in a comprehensive form before treatment could begin. My therapist was the lovely Roma.

A Hydrafacial is one of the most powerful non –invasive procedures, it targets fine lines and wrinkles and addresses specific skin concerns, it is effective for every skin type and the joy is you see immediate results.

I began with a Detox – Lymphatic drainage improves the circulation of the lymph system and helps eliminate toxins. This was a gentle and relaxing procedure.
Next was a Cleanse and Peel – this gently exfoliated and resurfaced, revealing a new layer of skin.
Extract and Hydrate removes the debris from the pores with a painless suction tube, followed by an intense moisture treatment, which quenches the skin.
Fuse and Protect saturates the skin’s surface with serums rich in vitamin C and retinol. This minimizes the appearance of dark spots and sun damage and helps even the complexion.
Finally, Rejuvenation helps take the redness out of the skin with a red and infra LED light and stimulates collagen, supporting the natural production of vitamin D.
I was amazed at the immediate results from my hydrafacial and was delighted with my clear glowing skin; I really felt as if my face had been given a new lease of life, I was all ready to embrace the party season with confidence. And I’m not the only one who sings the praises of the Hydrafacial, many celebrities endorse this treatment including Emma Bunton, Abbey Clancy, Paris Hilton and Karen Brady (of The Apprentice fame).
Hydrafacial treatments start at £90 per session but cost less if you pay for a course in advance.
Sk:n provide so many great treatments which all can be tailor-made for your own personal skin needs. It’s easy to locate with branches all over London and the UK.
