Pampering Facial at Thai Square City Spa:
Being invited to take a couple of hours out for a pampering beauty treatment when you are really busy is both a blessing and a curse. I love having beauty treatments – particularly facials – which always make me think I’ve suddenly lost ten years from my face. When, for a brief few years, I moved out of London I had ‘country club membership’ of a local rather wonderful spa. And I used to spend every Sunday there, pretending to exercise but actually rotating gently through the steam room, sauna and spa bath. Obviously very good for me though, for all that;) So, when I was invited to try the new Thai Square Spa in the city I was thrilled. Having said that, I got lost trying to find the entrance, which is tucked away down a side street just off Minories.
It is, as the name suggests, a really beautiful venue, decorated in Thai style. And once you walk in, there’s an immediate feeling of calm.
My anti-ageing facial took an hour and was a luxurious treatment. I was ushered into a treatment room with a relaxing bed draped with white curtains and after a rose leaf foot bath, wrapped up in a bath robe under layers of soft towels on the bed.
The treatment was all done by hand, the only ‘equipment’ some flannel gloves. Lots of gentle exfoliation, cleansing and massage before a very gentle, scented mask using a compound that combines three essences of precious jasmine (jasmine absolute, jasmine extract and jasmine hydrosol). the scent was quite overwhelming and very relaxing.
The principle is that this pure, natural anti-ageing skincare with jasmine free radical defence complex helps the complexion look naturally younger, firmer and more luminous. I’m no expert, but I do have very sensitive skin and this particular facial worked very well for me. Although I love having a facial, I often avoid having to go out on the same day that I’ve had a treatment, but in this case it simply left my face feeling beautifully soft, refreshed and toned.
Thai Square City Spa have a whole range of treatments available and right now, until the 15th of March there’s a 50% discount available if you book using the voucher on their facebook page. So, the facial I had, which would normally cost £85 is a very reasonable £42.50!

Thai Square is by far by favorite spa in London. Amazing place with great ambiance and relaxed atmosphere. Definitely recommended after going through a lot of hectic and stressing days. Thanks for sharing your thoughts Fiona.
This sounds and looks lush…
Jasmine hydrosol is a very good sign that things are going well. Sounds yummy.
