Harry’s Dolce Vita White Truffle Menu

November 25, 2024 (2024-11-25T09:31:40+00:00) by Dr Adrian York Leave a Comment

HARRY'S TRUFFLES

The white truffle menu at Harry’s Dolce Vita is small but perfectly formed with two starters and three main dishes. With truffles you want the food to be the support act foregrounding the tantalising taste of everyone’s favourite tuber.

The Silver Birch Devon crab

The Silver Birch is destined for great things, with its unique selling point being seasonal dishes that boast multiple levels of flavour and texture, along with, of course, immaculate service. Lucky old Chiswick!

The Cross Keys, Chelsea – Home from Home Gastropub

The Cross Keys Chelsea Gastropub exterior

The welcome at the Cross Keys is very warm indeed and the cooking is both inventive and hearty. It’s well worth a visit if you’re in Chelsea or Battersea and want to escape the hubbub in a cosy home from home.

Terra by Carlo Cracco at Eataly

Kitchen Bar at Terra, Eataly

Terra would make a great addition to anyone’s address book.  Reasonably priced, with main courses from around £20 to £40 and with desserts at £10 each, it’s the kind of restaurant where you could take your family, go with a group of friends or even have an informal business dinner.  I dare you to visit and not come out of Eataly with carrier bags of Italian goodies.

Churros-at-Boqueria

What could be better than a tapas evening with friends?  Plenty of delicious food to share, cocktails, wine and a relaxed dining experience where everyone simply enjoys being together. That’s where Boqueria steps in

Best Fish Restaurants in London – Scott’s

Scott’s Seafood Restaurant - doorman at this classic Fish Restaurant

Should you go? Of course yes if you can afford it. Scott’s Seafood Restaurant is a place to go for a reliable treat, it’s the culinary equivalent of going for a drive in a Bentley, not that I’ve ever done that

A Return to Gaucho Piccadilly – Splendid Special Occasion Steak and More

November 4, 2024 (2024-11-04T11:59:42+00:00) by Fiona Maclean Leave a Comment

Ancho - Ribeye steak at Gaucho Piccadilly

Now a classic, Gaucho Piccadilly still hits the spot In 1994, when Gaucho opened its first restaurant in Piccadilly, the London food scene was very different.  At the time I was working for an advertising agency and Gaucho Piccadilly was just the sort of place we’d take our top clients.  A unique venue, in the […]

Sam’s Riverside – an elegant Thameside brasserie

I love Sam’s Riverside! It’s elegant, cool, and relaxed all rolled into one. As a West Londoner, I know I’ll be back for more
